Q. What does a Class “A” LPGA Member certification mean anyway? Aren't all golf professionals certified to teach?

A. No. Taking a lesson from a certified LPGA professional can make a big difference for the following reasons: LPGA Members who are certified must pass a variety of exams over a course of 6 years, which include a professional playing ability test, rules of golf exams, written exams on the golf swing and observed practical teaching evaluations. There are high standards for each of these exams and only the best achieve and maintain Class “A” status. In order to maintain Class “A” status a teaching professional must complete continuing education through regular seminars and workshops. You can be assured that a Class “A” LPGA teaching professional is well educated on all the latest trends and developments in all golf related skills .
